Debt advice and casework
Birmingham Law Centre is a specialist-level provider of debt advice on behalf of the Community Legal Service. We have a licence from the Office of Fair Trading to offer this service.
We help hundreds of people every year with severe debt problems. Our service includes negotiating with creditors and court representation if necessary.
We can offer:
Help considering whether you could get more money from benefits or other sources.
Advice on whether you should accept or dispute liability for debts.
A full financial review to ensure that any proposals are realistic.
Help to negotiate with creditors.
In appropriate cases we may be able to provide legal representation to bring or defend County Court and High Court proceedings.
